NOW SEEKING 2026 INTERNSHIPS / GRADUATE ROLES IN PROPULSION, STRUCTURES, OR AEROSPACE SYSTEMS

I'm an engineer obsessed with pushing the boundaries of student-led design. My passion lies with teaching the next-generation and growing my skilsets in engineering.

Currently, I'm the Liquid Rocketry Lead at SwanSEDS where I lead the design, manufacturing and testing of student-built liquid-rocket engines.

In the past, I’ve worked alongside students at Texas A&M University building their first bi-propellant rocket engine. I have also worked with TAMU SEDS to develop the first student solar-sail cubesat mission.

In my spare time, I'm usually working on electronics projects, playing guitar or taking photos of landscapes, rockets and at airshows.

Puff liquid bipropellant rocket engine during a hot-fire test

Puff β€” First Welsh Liquid Bipropellant Rocket Engine

Rocketry 2024-2025 Projects

Puff became the first Welsh-designed and built liquid bipropellant rocket engine to hot-fire. Following cold-flow testing at Race 2 Space, it completed multiple hot fires, reaching 1.2 kN thrust and a longest sustained burn of five seconds.

Project overview
Engine Test Stand & Cold-Flow Validation

Engine Test Stand & Cold-Flow Validation

Rocketry 2025 Projects

Engineered a SolidWorks/ANSYS mounting bracket with ~15% less mass at FOS β‰₯ 5 and led cold-flow testing to validate pressure drops and discharge coefficients with 91% accuracy, feeding directly into future hot-fire test plans.

Test campaign notes
Impinging Injector & Feed System β€” 2 kN Engine

Impinging Injector & Feed System β€” 2 kN Engine

Rocketry 2025 Projects

Designed an additively manufactured IPA/N2O impinging injector achieving ~33% weight reduction and ~70% fewer sealing surfaces. Produced P&IDs for a future cold-flow test stand and modelled engine performance in RPA, MATLAB, Python and ANSYS.

Long-Endurance Communications UAV

Aircraft 2025-Present Coursework Swansea University

Part of an 8-engineer team delivering a full lifecycle design for a long-endurance communications UAV, including requirements definition, concept selection, performance analysis and role-based collaboration to produce a coherent design package.

UAV concept
MACH-24 Category 2 β€” Payload Bay Design

MACH-24 Category 2 β€” Payload Bay Design

Rocketry 2024 Projects

Designed and analysed the payload bay of a 3 km-class amateur rocket within tight safety and operating limits, using FEA to reduce structural mass by ~33%. Contributed to the team winning the MACH-24 Category 2 challenge.

Kilgharrah β€” 3.5 kN Throttleable SwanSEDS Engine

Kilgharrah β€” 3.5 kN Throttleable SwanSEDS Engine

Rocketry 2025-Present Projects

Kilgharrah is a 3.5 kN nitrous oxide/IPA, regeneratively cooled liquid rocket engine entered into Race2Space 2026 and successfully hot-fired at Airborne Engineering Ltd in July 2026. It is designed for 20–100% throttleability and future thrust-vector-control integration with a propulsive lander.

Texas A&M rocket engine hot-fire test

Texas A&M Rocket Engine Design β€” Thrust Chamber

Rocketry Aug-Dec 2024 Projects Texas A&M University

During my semester at Texas A&M, I worked as a thrust chamber assembly engineer and was responsible for injector-face finite-element analysis to verify that the injector geometry could withstand the engine’s structural loads.
